When we thin slice people, our inputs are often wrong. The person with tattoos who looks like somebody who we think is scary from high school because they yelled at us when we walked by their gas station doesn't make them a more aggressive poker player. You form impressions of people right away and the second you see them, you don't know anything about them. Your impressions are necessarily based on things that don't necessarily correlate to who this person is.
