Masataka Yoshida is the Red Sox biggest off season addition from outside the organization in terms of money spent. He's a type of player we don't see much of in MLB anymore, which is maybe caused to be skeptical, but also a reason to be excited if his skills do translate. Boston's level of confidence seems to be quite high that he will be the same type of player making this transition.
