The Sacrament of Confession
The sacrament of confession is something that the Catholic Church treats with utmost seriousness. A priest is never free for whatever reason to divulge what he hears within the sacrament of confession. California and Delaware have proposed legislation that would do away with priest and penitent privilege of confidentiality when involving specific crimes. Father points out that forcing priests to disclose certain sins would violate the foundation of Jesus' core message: no sin is unforgivable.
