The French police have been incredibly violent in their campaign to suppress the protests. At an ecological action in San Saline on March 25th, tens of thousands of activists were met with helicopters and armored vehicles. One protester was shot in the head with a tear gas grenade fired by a grenade launcher mounted on an armored vehicle. He remained in a coma fighting for his life for an entire month. Earlier today, his parents released a statement saying he has begun to wake up but is not fully conscious, and his life remains in danger.
