Lindisfarne was sort of the great pilgrimage because so many bishops of Lindisfarne were saints and did crazy and interesting things like wade into sea up to his chin. They met Celtic monks, Augustine's Romans in middle where they had a massive gigantic fight over proper date of Easter. I've often thought that when my kids get a little older it would be very cool to do the Camino as a family," he says.
