The Rococo in Venice

I think light is a really good tool for unifying lots of different elements and it's something I establish right at the beginning of my process because it does just help work out where things go. Light is really important for capturing that kind of fairy tale feeling that the Rococo has and I think it really kind of draws you in, sucks you in as a viewer so it's always been really important in my work. Venice was such an interesting place to be for that because Venice in 18th century was the peak of playfulness and all those carnivals. It was six months long carnival in the 18th century. Oh my god.
