The Effects of Action Games on Perceptual and Cognitive Enhancements
There's a selection bias where you get people who are naturally good in the skill or gravitate towards it because they're good at it. And so actually what we look to see is that the people who are trained on the action games improve more from their training than the people on the control game. That ends up being kind of strong causal evidence evidence of a causal relationship between playing action games and enhancements in perceptual or cognitive abilities.
