i appreciate germany's attention to the dark aspect of its own past, and i think it's good. But america is going through a historical reckoning with its own different past as well. Suppression of speech, cancel culture, is endemic in our society. I could give you a long list from my own experience,. My office at work gets vandalized cause of my pinions. The campus post office has to have special observation of packages that come to me because of death threats about my opinions. At meetings i talk in are broken up by students. Books of mine have not only been cancelled, but entire publishing companies have been put out of business cause they dared to publish a book
