Rhodes: We are a unapologetically amerit scholarship. I we also believe that inclusion is in the service of excellence, you no. It's about forthrightly acknowledging that we are on a learning journey. So embracing that, and but also engaging those debates. And so everything from, you know, why do you call it the road scholarship? You know, ah, a ah, and, you kno. The first african american scholar was selected back in 19 o seven. But then the legacy of jim crow and racism meant that the next one wasn't selected until 19 62.
