The Problem With Criminalization in the Immigration System
After the Windrush, the UK government was able to send charter flights to Jamaica. Precisely by arguing that everyone on the flight was a serious foreign criminal. And so every press release from the home office was that this flight has nothing to do with the Windrush migrants. So if we think about the issues we said we started with Brexit, charter flights, mass deportation flights, Windrush scandal, you can see all of the arguments I think and where intervention is in the ways in which people got it so wrong.
