The History of Debt in the Middle English Period
The first recorded use of the letter b in the word debt was in the book of common prayer, which was composed around the current point in our overall story. The word subtle also got its modern bee after it came from the latin word sub tilus. This same process gave the word sign its modern g, s i g n. And we can see and hear the p sound in that word as well by the late 15 hundreds.
