The LSAT predicts how well you'll do in law school. They have powerful reasons to want to learn what I'm trying to teach them, he says. Law school itself is a very effective way of teaching people to think like lawyers. But trying to get people to move from their own initial level of aptitude to a more sophisticated one is an extraordinarily difficult business. And they make mistakes even in reciting back to me the rules of law.
