Decision making has ceased to have any reference whatever to the notion of burke's contract between the generations. A pretty blithe disregard for the legacy of the past, characterized by a great many legislators. But perhaps more seriously, a real neglect of the interests of future generations. The young aren't represented, and the unborn for sure aren't represented.
