How to Negate Verbs With So

Use two after certain verbs to replace a verb clause. To negate phrases with so you'll either add a negated, auxiliary or modal verb in front of the verb followed by so. For example, i don't believe so is much more common than i believe. Not sounds a bit formal or posh. It'll always be, i'm afraid not - it's never said instead.
