Millennialism and Humanism

A few people, like our old friends the mormon humanist association, who have been on my mind a lot recently, explicitly link religion and transhumanism. They believe that technology has reduced violence and want but they go beyond that to imagine that it will complete eliminate it and allow resurrection and eternal life as well. For a group that doesn't have that second form of faith, we turn to discussion of existential risk, imbedded assumptions.
