The holidays are a time when people slow down and come together in one way or another. George Dowling, 95, lost his wife Lucille in 2013 after 70 years of marriage. His daughter Susan asked friends to send him Christmas cards to cheer him up. Within eight days the request blew up with over 10,000 cards arriving from all over the world.
