St. Francis says married men and women should not remain attached to the sexual indulgences that they have exercised in accord with their vocation. This advice is meant to express how to perfectly practice the excellent doctrine given by St. Paul to the Corinthians, he writes. "Let all make use of the world each in accord with his particular vocation" He adds: When we convert use into enjoyment our rational soul also undergoes a kind of conversion, becoming brutal and bestial.
