God's Always Experiencing to You, Right?

In 1 Samuel, God tells Solomon that he will tear the kingdom away from him and give it to his servant. The same thing happens later in Jeroboam's book of David. This is exactly the kind of language that we have encountered back in 1 Samuel. We actually see things like that happening in the rest of the scriptures where it's the son who ends up either going down the wrong path or being the one who's in some way bearing the sins of his father or his or his grandfather.
