What Is Energy?

We're still struggling to figure out exactly what energy is. It might need to be redefined now that we sort of know, and this is only reason that we know that the laws of physics are not constant. The history of this scene over a few hundred years is like discovery of kinetic energy. That seems to be conserved. And then we discover actually it doesn't conserve energy. So it's been a lot of back and forth.
