The Uptick in Down-Rounds in Venture Capital

I don't think that stripe raising billions of dollars to allow some of its employees to cash out, because it put off its IPO to long counts as a traditional venture capital route. It feels more like a structured investment to allow for near-term liquidity to retain employees. We're finally starting to see an uptick in down-rounds too, which is double what we were seeing a year ago. And at some point, all these companies that can't do that need to come back to market and raise.
