The Disappointment of the Moabites

In the story of Ruth, we have this counter narrative that essentially says, y'all wouldn't even be who you were without this foreigner. And so the Moabites are people that the Israelites had a special disdain for. It was just this strange moment in the story where they all go, wait, what? How did that happen?
