i wonder how much of the recent legislative efforts are driven by the idea that if you force people to go through the wrong pu berty, then you will always be able to mark them as trans in the minds of people. Biological sex is s not a legal concept. It was first cautified in 20 16 as an effort to ban trans people from the bathroom. And so i think that there is a fear that trans people will find joy, that actually, like the miserable trans person, isn't the thing they're afraid of.
