How to Say You Made a Mistake

In western culture like we make it a point to try not to embarrass someone. So you kind of use the indirect speech. When I was in Korea, there were situations where if you're in a larger group and somebody made a mistake, they'd call them out in front of other people. It wasn't seen as bad as I saw it, because I was like whoa like in front of everybody else you're going to call them out,. but they're like well this is what happened though.
