Kathy Burke's secret goal in life was simply to get past the age her mother had died at. She has also suffered from Bell's palsy, yet it was only a few years ago that she really believed her time was up. Her main fear became not even the thought of suicide, but the fact that whoever found her body would be traumatised by it. One of her life mottos is that every problem has a solution - and so Kathy decided on an ice hotel.
