Waymo vs. Uber: A Comparison

Uber has long since abandoned its internal development of autonomous cars and is partnering with other companies, not just Waymo. So Uber is sort of saying, we're a transport app. If you need to get something from one place to another, you use Uber for it. And so if Waymo wants to tap into that and say, hey, we'll be the car, that's great. Just like Uber doesn't care as long as you pass the background check and qualify and your car is in decent shape.
