The Importance of Allowing the Conversation to Emerge Through Action
In Northern Ireland, we took people from both communities and dumped them into Latin America for six months. And they realized they had more in common than they thought. Now what we're trying to do with the whole children of the world project is do that at scale. The minute the issue becomes big, it becomes ideological. If you can keep the issue small, people from radically different backgrounds can agree on something and do something about it. It's quite simple. So literally, through schools, through sports, clubs, through young people, is linking and connecting people around things that they see in common which aren't major issues.
