The Story of Esther and the Story of Judah
Esther asks for mordecai to gather all the jews together in susa and carry out a fast for her, and she will do the same with her young women. This fast, for three days and three nights from the time of the passover, should make us think of the story of christ. Esther's life will hang in the balance for this period of time. And when the king raises her sceptre, she will be, as it were, raised up her words at the end of her sponse, if i perish, i perish.
