The Emotions of Jesus Wept
The shortest verse in the Bible, Jesus wept. When does this happen while Jesus' friend Lazarus has just died and so Jesus is standing outside of his tomb and he's weeping. The text tells us that he's moved with compassion for her loss. This happens even though he knows he's about to raise her son from the dead. There need not be rebellion in our mourning for Jesus fully consented to the divine will and yet he wept.
