Axel Eriksson or Oxylade Exxon, as Sweden may wants to say, is from the company VEST. He worked at Stanford for about two and a half years before he quit to work on Ethereum essentially full-time. Axel came up with a design where you could schedule transactions to happen based on any condition on the system. And then the cool thing about this is that we set this up as a staking protocol. The machines could take on the job and essentially look at the condition that you sent. And then whenever the condition triggered, the transaction would be started.
In this Blockchain 101 episode, we sit down with Axel Ericsson of Vest (previously 1Protocol) to talk about Cryptoeconomic Primitives, incentive models, designing smart equilibria, and staking.
