Zen Buddhism

Until today she was anonymous. She says towards the end of her letter, a friend of mine once remarked that the appealing thing about Zen Buddhism is that you can just take the Zen without the Buddhism. And I said here at the center, at least this isn't so. Why is religious and necessary? How can I stop viewing it as a distraction and a nuisance and use it to find out who I am? Love Carol.
