The Future of Research on Geography and Personality
There's a much broader psychology in play when we consider how people are attracted or want to move away from specific neighborhoods and regions. I think those kind of results would be quite relevant for policymakers because they could identify why do people move who will be most sensitive to different kinds of regional or neighborhood factors that might vary. There is a genuine tendency towards interdisciplinarity in this field already that's baked into it by its very nature at the nexus of data science geography sociology and psychology. We need to tighten those links both methodologically but also in terms of content and in terms of just collaboration research teams.
