First Pass the Post

As part of this bill, there is a proposal to make our mayoral elections and our police and crime commissioner elections in england first pass the post. It will make the maal positions and police and crime Commissioner positions less representative of the people they serve. The government introduced this at a very late stage in the commons in washington - so m ps didn't even properly scrutinize this. But they managed to get it through the house of lords by just seven votes. Very interesting stuff.
