The Challenges of Responsible Release in Model Development
Auditing is getting transparency into model behavior. We need ways to verify that the behavior is what we expect and that these models are able to perform when they encounter new data in the real world. Responsible lease is actually a term that's up for definition. There's no common standard. I think this is an area we need more work on. The mechanism has to change because the technology has changed.
