The Raft of Medusa by Teardor Gericos
The Raft of Medusa is one of the most important paintings of romantic art from the age of restoration. It describes Ashiprec with this Raft of outcasts, of survivors of this shipwreck who are waiting for salvage. And looking at this painting at the end of the 20th century or today inevitably in my view interrogates or rises questions about the shipwreck of socialist revolutions.
