When you compare the genomes of denisovans with homesapians, with neandatoles and a, what we find is there's bits of the denisoven sequence which look like they don't fit into any of those other two. We call this a ghost population or a phantom species. Phantom species, we don't have any physical remains for them. But their legacy is right there in the denisoan d ana,. And indeed, in the the d an a of living people in their deniseen portions. So that's basically like an empty box of a human. We know it should be there.
