The Secret Door to a More Adult World
I think really before I read any poetry of my own volition. Music for me was just a gateway into everything like a band I loved would mention a writer they liked and I'd go off and read that writer. The teenage reader of that era was so invested and so active it's not passive reading at all. So I was not in part of Right Girl in any meaningful way I was just being a sad girl in our bedroom reading sleeve notes but I did read sleeve notes like they were books.
