The Relationship Between Philosophy and Art
I was hoping you could elaborate a bit on this distinction between what I'll refer to as an analytic approach to art one that tries to break it down and then one which takes art as a source of knowledge in itself. Art is unstable and always resistant to any kind of definitions, says Kant. And yet our whole beings for him, he talked about the free play of the imagination and trying to grapple with this thing that we can't categorize. That they, art gives us an opportunity to interrogate ourselves finally and in so doing change ourselves.
