The Poems of John West - A Review
I felt like reading this from section one through section 15, it was almost watching him emerge from some sort of cocoon or something like the quality of the writing. It's almost like when he gets to that section about tragedy, he's like breaking free of that mode. And all of a sudden the language in the writing becomes incredibly clear. I found it very disappointing, in a sort of sophomoricin way that i'm not used to,. netu because i've only really read the later stuff. Did anybody else notice that? I'm just curious, like, there's a change in the tempo of the whole thing.
