The Fourth Great Spiritual Awakening
The second great awakening, the 1790s to 1840 was led by many including Charles Finney. The third great awakening in America was from around 1857 to 1859 led by a young man in New York named Jeremiah Lanfier. One year alone, 50,000 people came to Christ and when it was all said and done,. 1 million came to the Lord in this brief period. That brings us to the fourth and the last great spiritual awakening, the Jesus movement.
