Is Reality Ugly?

I'm bad at these sorts of questions. I guess it's a two part question. Like the first part being do you find beauty in relatively simple, stable patterns that are easy to state explicitly? And do you believe that reality looks like that? I guess if the answer to both of those is yes, then reality is not ugly. But again, I think I'm perfectly happy with my understanding of why a plain wing creates upward lit upward draft without having to reduce it all the way down to quantum wave function.
