Is There a Standard Approach to Science?
A lot of science isn't going for causal explanation, it's providing non causal explanation. And there the contrast is, you know, its pretty standard. So could you explain a bit about that difference, and then the different ways in which some planations and science are non causal? Certainly so. As you said in in the book, i refer to this sort of collection of claims as the standard view, or the standard approach. Not every one is sort of in that a boat.
