The Power of Asking Questions With Your Kids

One study showed that four-year-olds ask an average of 75 questions an hour. When those questions are answered fully, the follow-up questions are deeper and elaborating on the concept. We have this practice in my family that when we would watch television or movies with our kids, we do two things. One is we silence all commercials because that's our chance to talk about what we've been watching. The second practice is when we were watching movies, my husband at the time would pause the movie every so often and he would ask questions.
