How Did You Get Your First Job in San Diego?

I was moving to San Diego to support my wife. I had been an engineer for about two years before and I was actually working as a summer camp counselor when the recession really got into full swing. And that move down to San Diego was one of those ones where I just had some money in the bank and didn't know anybody.
