The more we can move on to a substrate of computing that looks like the human brain, the more it'll be like human, like thinking. Most of the value we have from AI is because of things differently than us. We want things that don't have consciousness necessarily for the most time. That's a distraction. Consciousness is usually a liability. And so um, uh, we're going to make what I call artificial aliens and engineer them precisely because they don't think like us.
