The Importance of Imagination in Western Culture
I think one of the great mistakes we've made in the 20th century that I think we're not. If we don't correct it, we're not going to survive. We circle the wagons around the concept of the individual, which itself is a complete fiction. In Western culture, we got so wrapped up in the individual that the individual is going bad shit crazy and being very dysfunctional. And this is supported by the ancients again. You had, you know, the Egyptians and the seven souls and Austics and the Hermetics with the levels of reality.
