Edmund Kemper's first victims were two college students, Marianne Peshk and Anita Luchessa. This event would mark the beginning of Kemper's killing spree during which he picked up hitchhikers,. murdered them and then often engaged in necrophilic actions and dismemberment. Between 1972 and 1973, Kemper murdered four female students following a similar modus operandi.
