How to Get Glucose in Your Brain
Your brain is largely made up of neurons, at least in terms of the part that's doing the actual work. Glucose comes from foods we eat and it's delivered to brain cells through the blood system. Insulin moves glucose from your blood into the cells for energy and storage. People with diabetes have higher than normal levels of glucose in their blood.
