Barack Obama's Optimism for America

By 2007, approval for the war in Iraq had shifted dramatically. According to a Pew Research poll, two-thirds of the country no longer felt the war was going well. By the time that Barack Obama becomes president, there is a robust conservative media ecosystem ready for blood. Even at the inauguration of a black president, it seems white America is being called racist.
