The Importance of Metagenomics in the Study of Zoonotic Diseases
There are 2,000 species of rodents and we know a lot about domesticated critters. We found that given how many insectivores there are in the world, they actually, a large proportion of them carried zoonotic diseases. Chances are that insectivores are carrying lots of things that could possibly infect humans,. But we have, they're so understudied. It's always worth knowing what's in your environment.
