In her early 20s still she was too young to settle down. She met a guy and they moved in together for about 12 months, but then she decided that she wanted her freedom. The whole time she lived in Wellington she rented. In those days you could get a one bedroom in Wellington for $95 a week and a two bedroom was $110. If you were paying $120, well that was expensive. Looking back she says she was stupid not to marry him. He was the nice guy who she let get awayShe said their views on money were black and white probably showing their different upbringings.
